Projection
Jan. 4th, 2018 04:59 amMy partner and I visited the Tsubaki Grand (Shinto) Shrine near Granite Falls, WA on New Year's Day.
Like the Kemetic Nutjeru, the Shinto Kami 神 could be thought of as deities, spirits, phenomena or forces of nature. I think that attempting to translate either word (Kami or Nutjer) into English (especially using the word "god" with its Abrahamic association) does not generally do them justice.
That being said, I stop to ponder whether perhaps I am projecting my understanding of one upon the other or, if my perception is accurate.
